The man, who was buried in Schnelsen, together with his horse, had his weapons - sword, knife, lance, and shield - buried with him. A special feature were parts of the riding accessories: Bridle, saddle and stirrups marked the deceased as a high-ranking Saxon mounted warrior. Riding was a privilege that only few were entitled to.
