59 Treasure from the Bronze Age
Around 1900, a rich hoard find was discovered under a large stone slab in Bahrendorf near Hitzacker. More than 25 comparative pieces of the large hair knot brooch are known from other sites, all of which are so similar that they are likely to have come from the hand of the same bronze smith.
