9 Raw Materials: Iron
Around 600 BC, iron gradually replaced bronze as the most important material in northern Germany. Initially, it was only possible to make small objects such as needles from the new metal. It was not until iron technology was further developed that larger objects such as axes or knives were created, which resemble our modern tools in shape.
