Antler Axes

On the banks of the Elbe near Blankenese, archaeological finds are repeatedly dredged from the river, including a large quantity of axes made of deer antlers, which were presumably used for a wide variety of purposes. They may have come from a Stone Age dwelling place that has since been washed over by the course of the Elbe.
